Some of you may already
have heard that last week was an eventful week at our house. Sometime
during Monday night, Rebecca's mare gave birth to a little filly.
(Picture enclosed). The girls have named her Diamond because of
the marking on her fore head. So we are very excited about this
addition to our family. We spend a lot of time with her so she
becomes acquainted with us and is easier to handle when she gets
a little more muscle. She seems to like Maddy the best. She nuzzles
her, kisses her face and all around thinks Maddy is a special
tasty treat. Of course Maddy cuddles and kisses back.

With each life that
comes into this world, there is another life that leaves. It is
just that I didn't think it would happen in our family. On the
same day the filly was born, Sparky was hit by a car and died.
It was a terrible moment for everyone.
He thought chasing cars was the best game in town and he paid
a dear price for it. I think he probably slipped on the ice and
fell under the wheel. I had tried to teach him to stay away from
the road but not hard enough. I let him down. Gail and I suffered
a great loss... he was our buddy. Our house and hearts were so
empty that I could not wait long to have another pup. (Picture
enclosed -> ) He still has no name... We are running a contest
at school to pick a name.
We already love him, but I still found myself picking up Sparky's
halter last night and smelling it.
I could still smell Sparky. He was a very special friend to Gail
and I.
Finally, on Saturday,
Amy and Jason got married. We are very pleased. We love Jason
very much and he takes such good care of Amy. Photos will be published
as soon their available....
Love to everyone.
